Appeal after unprovoked assault

A MAN in his 20s suffered an injury to his head when he was assaulted by two men in the Linden Park Road area of Tunbridge Wells.

The man needed treatment at the Kent and Sussex Hospital after the incident that occurred on Saturday, January 21, at about 3.15pm.

Police spokeswoman Anne McCarthy said the attack appeared to have been unprovoked.

She added: "The area was quite busy at the time and a number of people reported the incident to police. Officers would like to speak to members of the public who may have witnessed the assault."

Two men, one aged 27 and the other 17, both from Tunbridge Wells, were arrested in connection with this incident. They were later given police bail until 9 March 9 pending further enquiries.
