RAC recovery lorry crashes into barrier at Murston Road junction in Sittingbourne

A recovery lorry has crashed into a barrier near the Flame Grill on the junction of Murston Road and Canterbury Road, Sittingbourne.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver seemed to lose control as he came round the corner and ended up "swerving to the left".

Brian Grove, 54, of Vincent Road, Sittingbourne, was passing when he saw the crashed recovery van.

"It was outside the Flame Grill, at the junction of the A2 at Snips Hill.

"I was on my way into town but didn't stop as I was in a hurry. As far as I could see, no one had been hurt.

"It was still there an hour later. It was asking for someone to make the silly comment - did they call the AA?"
