Woman dies after getting hit by motorbike near Holiday Inn on A229 Maidstone Road, Chatham

A woman has died after she was hit by a motorbike.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the northbound carriage of the A229 Maidstone Road, Chatham, near the Holiday Inn, last Wednesday (July 26).

The pedestrian, who was in her 60s, was crossing the dual carriageway from Davis Estate towards the hotel at around 5.16pm when she was involved in a collision with the black Kawasaki ZX1000.

She was flown to a London hospital by an air ambulance and died on Sunday (July 30).

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out inquiries and are also urging witnesses and anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them.
