Man taken to hospital after being assaulted with broken bottle in Gillingham

A man was taken to hospital after being assaulted with a broken glass bottle last night.

Police were called at 11.10pm on Saturday to a report of a disturbance in Livingstone Road, Gillingham, which left a man in his 50s wounded.

The suspect, who is believed to be known to the victim, had left the scene prior to police arrival, and there have been no arrests.

The victim has since been discharged from hospital and inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
