Invicta Dynamos have named Karl Lennon as their captain for the 2009/10 season.

Lennon is a long-serving player at the Gillingham Ice Bowl having iced more than 200 times for the Dynamos since 2003 and previously played for the Mustangs.

The hard-working forward has also weighed in with some valuable goals and last season was his most productive with 15 in a total of 29 points.

A statement on the club's website said: "Lennon has always shown excellent leadership qualities throughout his time at the Dynamos and with his desire and enthusiasm he is certain to lead by example.

"This is not the first time he has assumed the captaincy having lifted the trophy following the National Final victory over Sheffield in Coventry and we are confident he will lead us to more success when the new season begins in September."
