Five fight to stand as Lib Dem Parliamentary candidate

With a General Election presumed to be imminent following the Government's defeat at the hands of opposition parties and Brexit rebels this week, the Liberal Democrats have been scrambling to select their candidate to fight against Conservative Helen Grant MP for the Maidstone and the Weald constituency.

Members of the local party are meeting at the YMCA in Melrose Close, Maidstone, this Friday at 7pm to select their choice.
