MK Dons v Gillingham

GILLINGHAM are sweating on the fitness of three key players ahead of their trip to struggling MK Dons on Saturday.

Manager Ronnie Jepson will definitely be without the injured Chris Hope, but defender Ian Cox and midfield duo Tommy Black and Danny Spiller will all face late fitness tests.

Jepson said: "We had them on the treatment table this week and will wait for a judgement on Friday afternoon."

Meanwhile, Jepson hopes his side can show the right side of their "Jekyll and Hyde" character.

The Gills have followed the 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Bristol City with two crucial wins against top five opposition and Jepson has spoken of his pride at the reaction of his players.

He said: "Those results have given everyone a lift – the supporters, the players, myself.

"Everybody would have seen that 6-0 result at Bristol City and given us no chance against Brentford and Swansea but my players did not hide.

"We are a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde side but I was proud how we got those two wins. It instills belief and confidence and the lads grew in stature."
