Skinny car driver startles schoolgirl

POLICE have issued a warning to students after a girl had a frightening experience on her way home from school.

The teenager was in Stirling Way, Ramsgate, when a young man suddenly got out his car and took hold of her left wrist.

No attempt was made to pull her into the vehicle or apply pressure and the girl was able to push him away and run home.

The man is said to be in his late 20s, skinny, 5ft 9ins tall and wearing a hooded top. He was driving a dark-coloured old style Renault Clio car.

The incident happened on Friday, September 7. Anyone who can help police should contact Det Sgt Claire Munday on 01843 222076.
