Kent derby in FA Trophy draw

There was one all-Kent derby in the draw for the FA Trophy preliminary round.

Ashford will host Ramsgate on Saturday, October 2 with the winners away to Arlesey Town or Sittingbourne.

Other ties include Chatham travelling to Redbridge and Whitstable making a similar journey, to Ilford.

Faversham Town's first FA Trophy tie will also be on the road when they visit Walton & Hersham.

Maidstone entertain Burgess Hill in the first qualifying round on Saturday, October 16 with Tonbridge hosting Concord Rangers and Folkestone at home to Worthing.

Faversham's reward if they can get past Walton & Hersham is Kingstonian.

FA Trophy draws: Preliminary round (October 2): Arlesey Town v Sittingbourne, Ashford Town v Ramsgate, Ilford v Whitstable Town, Redbridge v Chatham Town, Thamesmead Town v Heybridge Swifts, Walton & Hersham v Faversham Town.

First qualifying round (October 16): Arlesey Town or Sittingbourne v Ashford Town or Ramsgate, Carshalton Athletic v Ilford or Whitstable Town, Cheshunt or Great Wakering Rovers v Thamesmead Town v Heybridge Swifts, Cray Wanderers v Wingate & Finchley or Horsham YMCA, Folkestone Invicta v Worthing, Horsham v Redbridge or Chatham Town, Maidstone United v Burgess Hill Town, Margate v Ware or Whitehawk, Tonbridge Angels v Concord Rangers, Walton & Hersham or Faversham Town v Kingstonian.
