Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has announced to his squad during training today (Tuesday) who will be playing in the crucial play-off match at Rochdale on Thursday.

The Gills boss is set to recall key players Simon King, Andy Barcham, Simeon Jackson and Mark McCammon for the match - all of whom were rested on Saturday.

Stimson (right) will take the team north tomorrow (Wednesday) and they hope to use Derby County’s training facilities in preparation for the big match at Spotland.

The Gillingham manager has selected a team who he feels can match Rochdale’s quality on the ball.

"If we were going to play against Dagenham or Bury then there might have been one different player in the team who might be in this Saturday, because of the physical demands.

"This one though is going to be a footballing game. There are two teams who like to get the ball down and pass it. The height and the physical presence don’t come into it as much."

Winger Albert Jarrett has won himself a place in the squad following his impressive display during Saturday’s match at Rochdale.

The squad will stay together on Thursday night before heading back to Kent on Friday, where they prepare for Sunday’s second leg at Priestfield.
