Gillingham have extended the loan deal of Josh Gowling for a further month.
Gowling, pictured, joined the Gills from Carlisle last month and has played in every game so far this season.
Gills boss Mark Stimson was keen to finalise a permanent deal for Gowling, who has impressed in the absence of injured player-of-the-year Simon King, but the loan extension means that the defender can play in Tuesday night's Carling Cup second round tie with Blackburn at Priestfield.
