GRAVESEND lifeboat crews were called out yesterday afternoon (Monday) to a fishing boat in need of help.
The boat was about five miles from Gravesend, in the direction of Canvey Island, when the call came in at 4.25pm.
The boat's fishing net had got caught on the propeller, dragging the boat down until it was taking water on board.
The RNLI said the vessel would have sunk if its crews had not responded quickly.
No-one was injured.
