Calum Willock struck twice as Ebbsfleet came from behind to book their place in the FA Trophy second round with victory over Hayes & Yeading at Stonebridge Road on Saturday.

Following a quiet opening to the game, Ebbsfleet found themselves a goal behind just after the midway point of the first half.

Former Fleet player Peter Holmes took control of the ball in midfield and ran forward before unleashing a 25-yard shot into the net.

Fleet pulled themselves level six minutes later when Gareth Williams found Joe Howe and he hit a curling shot into the top corner of the net.

And four minutes later the home side were in front when Michael West’s pass found Willock (pictured) who turned and scooped the ball home while on the floor.

Graeme Montgomery hit the post for Hayes as they applied some pressure late in the first half but Fleet went in at the break ahead.

The home side were awarded a penalty early in the second half following handball in the area by Nathan Webb but Williams put his spot-kick wide.

A minute later Webb then brought down Tom Phipp and received a second yellow card to leave the visitors with 10 men.

Willock then added a the third with four minutes left, after Williams’ pass had left him with only the keeper to beat and he made no mistake.
