RESIDENTS are still picking up the pieces of their lives just over one week on from a massive explosion which wrecked homes in Abbey Street in Faversham.

Elsie Howland, 86, who was plucked from the rubble, is today is still in a stable condition in the Kent and Canterbury Hospital.

But following a residents' association meeting last night, it is clear the nightmare is also continuing for many others involved.
