Armed police seen at property in Princes Road, near Dartford Heath Retail Park

A number of armed police were seen outside a property after reports of a man carrying a gun.

Officers were spotted this morning at Princes Road in Dartford, opposite Dunelm at the Dartford Heath Retail Park.

At 6.18am police had received reports of a man with a firearm in nearby streets Park Road and The Brent.

Patrols, including armed officers, attended the scene and arrested two men in connection with the incident.

A suspected air rifle was recovered and an investigation is underway into the circumstances.

Marc drove by the property on his way to work and noticed a large police presence.

He said: "I went past at about 7.15am this morning and saw four armed response officers.

"At the time there was one vehicle stationed in the road."

Later on in the day a resident said they had noticed around seven police cars outside, including a 4x4 vehicle.
