EuroCanterbury Ladies' slim hopes of winning the Premier League title were ended at the weekend despite Sunday's 8-0 home win over Olton & West Warwicks.

However, with one match to play, the victory guaranteed second-placed Canterbury their highest ever league finish and home advantage in the play-offs.

Leaders Leicester made sure of finishing the season top after maintaining their four-point advantage with a 7-0 win at the University of Birmingham in the penultimate round of matches.

Canterbury eased to victory at Polo Farm with a hat-trick from Sarah Kerly and further goals from Jen Wilson (2), Susannah Townsend, Jenny Hall and Susie Rowe.
