Police and fire investigators are continuing to look into the cause of a fire at a horse riding school at the weekend.

Around 20 firefighters were called to deal with a blaze at Chequer Tree Equestrian Centre, Chequer Tree Farm, Mersham, at 12.20am on Saturday

Fire engines from Ashford, Folkestone, Wye and Charing were sent to the fire.

Crews spent three and a half hours tackling the fire in a single-storey barn used for storage and stables. Crews used a main jet, a hosereel jet and compressed air foam.

There was damage to 20% of the 40m by 20m barn but no people or horses were thought to have been injured.
